The Devon Business Show - the county's biggest business show, run by the Devon Chamber of Commerce - returns to the Plymouth Life Centre on Wednesday 14 October 2026, and Mapzest has a stand. Look for Stand 94, between Top Training and Smart Working Revolution.

Entry is free, the doors are open from 10am to 3pm, and there's no pitch waiting for you - just a conversation about how people in your area find out what's around them, and where your business fits into that. Ten minutes on the stand is enough to see your own listing on a live map.

Three things to ask us about

"Where would my business actually appear?" - We'll show you. One Mapzest listing feeds the Mapzest app, Mapzest Discover in any web browser, touchscreen kiosks in visitor hotspots, and your own Mapzest Connect page behind a QR code. Change your opening hours or add an offer once, and every one of those updates together.

"What does it cost?" - For independent businesses and community organisations, the listing, the Connect page and the QR code are free. Already listed? We can look yours up on the stand.

"We represent a whole place, not one business." - Councils, BIDs, LVEPs and destination teams use Mapzest to put an entire area's businesses, events and attractions into a single, always-current visitor guide. If that's your remit, we'd especially like to talk.

A county-wide show, not just a Plymouth one

The Devon Business Show draws businesses from every corner of the county - more than 100 exhibitors filled the Life Centre last year, and 2026 promises some new touches of its own. That makes it one of the few days in the calendar where a tech company, a solicitor, a hotel, a training provider and a county council are all in the same hall.

It's also why we're there. Mapzest was built in the South West for places where the visitor economy and the everyday business economy are one and the same - the café that feeds day-trippers at lunch and office workers at breakfast, the venue that hosts weddings in summer and conferences in winter. Every one of them benefits when the people nearby can find them.

Worth a visit while you're in the hall

Hospitality and visitor-economy names are well represented this year: Meet Plymouth, Crowne Plaza Plymouth, The Duke of Cornwall Hotel, China Fleet Country Club, Buckfast Abbey Conference Centre, Gidleigh Park, Dartmoor Zoo and Loganair with Exeter Airport are all on the floor plan.
